CME has made a full commitment to the development of solar energy projects both in the US and abroad. Solar technology is improving and pricing is becoming more economic to the point we believe that there are many applications, even in the Northern latitudes in which solar can be a valuable source of environmentally and economically prudent energy supply.
Certainly the reduction of carbon output, fuel pricing volatility and transportation issues are positively impacted by increasing use of solar energy for both electrify and thermal usage.
* replaces older, less environmentally-friendly facilities
* reduces the impact of pollutants on the environment
* protects the water supply
* meets or exceeds standards for air and noise pollution
* adheres to the highest standards of efficiency, reliability and
environmental quality
* would meet or exceed general guidelines for health and safety
The need for renewable energy projects is a top priority is most countries. Take a look at the below chart which shows the small percentage of renewable energy we are using in the USA.
Solar and Wind projects are a top priority at CME Energy.
